Thanks for visiting and allowing us to introduce ourselves! We are Jeremy and Kristine Ferguson, missionaries to the country of the Philippines. I, Jeremy, was born in Gainesville, Florida in the year 1977 where I lived until I was six years old and I then moved to South Florida where I spent most of my life growing up. I spent my high school years in Ocala, Florida and my college years back in Gainesville attending The University of Florida.
Not long after graduating in the summer of 1999 with a BS in Computer Sciences I came to know Jesus Christ as my Savior. At the time I was working as a computer programmer in Alachua, Florida and the Lord soon led me to my home Church, Highland Missionary Baptist Church, in Gainesville, Florida, where I began serving Him in several capacities. At Highland, the Lord blessed me with a wonderful opportunity to study His Word through Faith Bible Institute, a three year, through-the-Bible Institute from which I graduated with a Bible college diploma. The Lord also gave me the opportunity to preach at Highland on a regular basis (thanks Pastor Rick for sharing the pulpit every third Wednesday night of the month!!!) which was an incredible blessing! I also began my first work as a missionary at Highland by planting an inner city outreach that continues to bring glory to God to this day! I have posted a couple of pictures from the youth outreach at Highland below.
Shortly after coming to the Philippines in 2003 I met my lovely wife Kristine and we were married on July 17, 2004. On September 1, 2005, Kristine gave birth to our first child, Joshua Reyes Ferguson. Kristine is a native Filipina from the province of Pampanga.
