Presenting Your Sacrifice (Romans 11:33 - 12:1)

"O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor? Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again? For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice...."

We find at the very core of sacrifice the concept of giving something away that is of great value to us. The Lord has always called His people to come to Him ready and willing to present sacrifices. However, since Christ gave the ultimate sacrifice on the cross for our sins, the sacrifice that God expects of His people today is far greater than ever....our own bodies. Most people mock God in their hearts and through their lifestyles when they hear this command and that is often because we fail to even think about God's very own ways and nature. "O the depth....of God" - Before we can ever present ourselves to the Lord as a living sacrifice we need to be humbled as we simply stand in awe of the Lord God. When we realize that His ways are "past finding out", that His wisdom and knowledge are infinitely deep, and that "of him, and through him, and to him, are all things" - we can then come to Him ready to offer the greatest sacrifice we could ever give Him....our own bodies, all that we are. Have you offered your sacrifice to Him yet....He will not accept anything less.
