Is His mind in you? (Philippians 2)
"Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for
the interests of others. Let this mind be in you which was also in
Christ Jesus"
Think for a moment and answer this question honestly, what percentage
of your life is centered around your own desires and needs?
Now, think for a moment and honestly answer this question in your heart,
what percentage of your life is centered around the needs of others?
Which is a greater portion of your life?
There's no time in our life when we are more like Jesus than when we
place the needs of others before our very own. We always ask, "What would
Jesus do?" The Bible says that Jesus "made Himself of no reputation,
taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And
being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became
obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross." The
challenge to obedience given to us here by our Lord is as high as the
heavens! To have the mind of Christ in us is a supernatural work of the
Holy Spirit of God so I will simply ask you this, is His mind truly in
you?
