Are You Prepared to See?

"Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this."
- Revelation 4:1

Just as man must prepare his physical eyes to behold the intensive rays of the sun, so too is man responsible for preparing his spiritual eyes to behold the intensity of the "Son of God"...the "light of the world"...Jesus Christ Himself. Man left in his flesh alone is altogether depraved in his ability to comprehend the things God longs for us to see in our life and "they that are in the flesh cannot please God." (Rom 8:9) There is nothing for us to wonder about when it comes to the things which God wants to do in our lives..."Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not." (Jer 33:3) The things which God has in store for us are always "great and mighty" and things which we "knowest not"; and because His plans are far too inaccessibly high for us to behold in our flesh the Lord graciously instructs us to the path of preparation where we can see His will plainly..."I counsel thee to...anoint thine eyes with eye salve, that thou mayest see." (Rev 3:18) Often our problem is that we are unable, unprepared, and even unwilling to perceive His true plans into our hearts because we aren't willing to offer the sacrifice. Never forget that it's according to His divine power that we have received all things which pertain to freedom and life in the Spirit, but "he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins." (2Pe 1:9) The test as to whether or not you have truly been healed of your spiritual blindness rests in the genuine results that it will produce in you..."immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way." (Mar 10:52) Are you still blind...unable to "see afar off"?
