Single Minded
"This one thing I do..." (Philippians 3:13)
As Paul was running for the Lord it is critical to note that he did not
say, "These twenty things I do...." A person striving with all of their
might to win the race has their mind fixed on only one thing, the prize
itself. If a runner is focusing on anything else besides the prize he
will find that he is bombarded with a multitude of obstacles that
will keep him from exercising all of his potential. Winning requires
incredible endurance, patience, and strength, but these stem from
the root of living a life that is single minded and focused on one
thing. If our life cannot be summed up by the statement, "This one
thing I do...." then something has drawn us away from the
ultimate..."That I may know him..." (vs. 10)
