Dwelling in the Secret Place
"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide
under the shadow of the Almighty." - Psalm 91:1
No other time can two people meet together and share the most
intimate thoughts and feelings they have for one another than the time
they spend together alone. Jesus directed us to such a place when
He said, "when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut
your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place".
(Mathew 6:6) A "secret place" is a place of protection that is
concealed and private. It's a place where we can "abide under the
shadow of the Almighty" and experience perfect peace through the
presence of the Almighty. However, we sometimes think that we
are only able to experience this at certain times in our lives.
"He who dwells in the secret place" is referring to a person who
spends his entire life dwelling there; a person who, even in the
face of the greatest trials of life, is dwelling "in the secret place
of the Most High" and their Spirit is solely focused on their Heavenly
Father and in constant communication with Him. When Jesus told us to
go into our room and shut the door and enter the "secret place" He
never told us to come out. Are you dwelling in the secret place?
